Hall of Fame
The 2010 Manitoba Rugby Hall of Fame (MRHOF) activities and Induction Dinner raised a total of $5000 in support of Maple Grove Rugby Park thanks to the generosity of the many members and sponsors that support our great sport. Photographs and write-ups for each of the 2010 Honourable members inducted to the Hall of Fame will soon be posted to the Rugby Manitoba web site and will be available for electronic video viewing at MGRP along with a wall mounted Hall of Fame display identifying the names of the Honourable members and their category of induction.
The Hall of Fame Committee has completed the selection process for 2011 that will see nine new members of the Manitoba rugby community inducted into the Hall of Fame on October 15,2011. The Induction Dinner will take place in the Hudson Room located at the McPhillips Street Station Casino. Tickets for the Induction Dinner are available at $80 each if purchased before September 01,2011 and at $100 each thereafter. Eight tickets (one table) will initially be set aside for each Rugby Club and organization,including Rugby Manitoba,Maple Grove Rugby Park and the Manitoba Association of Rugby Referees. Otherwise,tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis (i.e. money in hand) by contacting Jim Russell. Those interested in attending the 2011 MRHOF Induction Dinner are encouraged to purchase their tickets as soon as possible as last year’s induction dinner was sold out weeks in advance.
